Corbett Named Finalist for PR Awards’ CEO of the Year

Washington, DC, August 2, 2017 –​ Glen Echo Group is pleased to announce that Maura Corbett, founder and CEO, has been named a finalist for CEO of the Year for the 2017 PR News Platinum PR Awards. Glen Echo Group is also a finalist for the Pro Bono award for their work with NGO Reporters Without Borders/Reporters Sans Frontieres.

“What an honor this is,” said Maura Corbett, founder and CEO of Glen Echo Group. “Seven years from our beginnings in a local Starbucks, we’ve created a place for good people to have the opportunity to do good work for good clients. We could not be prouder to have our work with Reporters Without Borders recognized. Giving back is a big part of our mission and it is a privilege to stand side-by-side with an organization devoted to defending and promoting freedom of the press around the world.”

Corbett is one of four finalists, and the only woman, vying for the top honor this year. The other finalists are Dan Amos, FleishmanHillard, Paul Comfort, Maryland Transit Administration and Sean Connolly, Conagra Brands. Winners will be announced September 14, 2017 in New York City.
